PAN Profile API
Pull a complete KYC profile behind a PAN — name, DOB, address, category and link status — in one call.
What is the PAN Profile API?
The BILAPI PAN Profile API returns a complete KYC profile for a PAN — registered name, father name, date of birth, address, category and PAN–Aadhaar link status — giving you everything you need to onboard and cross-verify a customer from a single identifier.
It is the deepest of BILAPI's PAN endpoints, used when a simple valid/invalid check is not enough and you want a full, pre-filled profile for KYC, lending and tax-compliance workflows.
Send a 10-character PAN and receive the full profile as JSON in milliseconds. Billed only on a successful lookup.
What the PAN Profile API returns
Every successful call returns a clean, predictable JSON envelope. The data object includes the fields below (exact fields vary by record availability).
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
pan | The PAN that was profiled. |
full_name | Registered full name of the PAN holder. |
father_name | Father name as registered, where available. |
dob | Date of birth, where available. |
address | Registered address, where available. |
category | Holder type — Individual, Company, HUF, Firm, etc. |
aadhaar_linked | PAN–Aadhaar link status. |
status | Whether the PAN is valid and active. |

Frequently asked questions
What does the PAN Profile API return?
It returns a full KYC profile for a PAN — name, father name, date of birth, address, category, PAN–Aadhaar link status and validity — as a single JSON response.
How is it different from the other PAN APIs?
It is the deepest PAN endpoint: PAN verification confirms validity and PAN Details returns core fields, while the PAN Profile API returns the complete profile including father name, DOB and address.
What is the input?
A single 10-character PAN, for example ABCDE1234F.
Does it show PAN-Aadhaar link status?
Yes — the aadhaar_linked field confirms whether the PAN is linked to Aadhaar.
Do failed lookups cost money?
No — you are billed only for successful responses, and a free sandbox is included.
