Video KYC & Face Match API for Onboarding
Verify a real, present person remotely — combine face match, liveness and video KYC to onboard customers without a branch visit.
Remote onboarding only works if you can prove two things: the person is real and live (not a photo or a deepfake), and they are the same person as on their ID. Face match, liveness detection and video KYC APIs solve exactly this, and together they let banks, NBFCs and fintechs onboard customers fully online.
The three building blocks
- Liveness detection — confirms a live human is present, defeating printed photos, screen replays and masks.
- Face match — compares a selfie to the photo on the customer's ID (or a prior image) and returns a match score.
- Video KYC — a compliant, recorded video flow that ties identity verification together for regulated onboarding.
How they fit together in a flow
A typical remote KYC journey: capture a selfie, run liveness to confirm the person is live, then face-match that selfie against the ID photo. For regulated use cases, the video KYC flow records the session and bundles the checks into an auditable journey.

}Why liveness matters
Face match alone can be fooled by a photo of a photo. Liveness detection is what makes remote onboarding fraud-resistant — it confirms a live person is in front of the camera before you trust the match.
Compliance notes
- Capture and record customer consent for biometric processing.
- Use the recorded video KYC flow where the regulator requires it.
- Encrypt images in transit and restrict access; keep an audit trail.
