How to Check Vehicle Challans via API

Pull pending e-challans for any vehicle from its number plate — for used-car deals, fleets and insurance.

BILAPI27 Oct 20264 min read

Before buying a used car, onboarding a driver, or underwriting a vehicle, it pays to know whether it carries unpaid traffic challans. An e-challan API returns pending challans for any Indian vehicle from just its registration number.

What a challan check returns

  • Each pending challan with its amount.
  • Challan status — pending, disposed or paid.
  • Offence details and date.
  • The issuing authority / state.
